More Than a Shelter, We Are a Promise

Behind every rescued animal is a story of hope. Behind our doors is a community united by a promise: to provide refuge, healing, and a second chance at a life filled with love.

Our Beginning: A Single Act of Kindness

Pawsitive Haven began not as a plan, but as a promise. When our founder, Dr. Evelyn Reed, rescued a single shivering dog from a storm, that act of kindness sparked a mission. She saw that while one person could save a life, a dedicated community could change the world for thousands of animals in need.

What started as a small network of foster homes grew into the sanctuary you see today, proving that compassion, when shared, creates an unstoppable force for good.

Our Mission

To provide a safe and compassionate environment for homeless and neglected animals, focusing on their rehabilitation and placement in loving, permanent homes while educating the community on animal welfare.

Our Vision

Our "No-Kill" Philosophy

To us, "no-kill" is more than a label; it is our fundamental commitment to saving every animal possible. We do not euthanize for space and reserve that difficult decision only for animals suffering from irreversible medical conditions. This philosophy means we will always fight for the senior dog, the shy cat, and the injured puppy. It is a resource-intensive path, but it is the only one we are willing to take, because we believe every life is precious.

A Day in the Life at Pawsitive Haven

Morning

The day begins with breakfast and cleaning. After their meal, dogs enjoy walks and playtime in the yards, while our vet team conducts health checks and provides care.

Midday

Our doors open to the public. This is when the magic of adoption happens. Counselors make introductions while volunteers focus on enrichment, like puzzle toys and reading to shy cats.

Evening

After dinner, dogs get one last potty break. The lights are dimmed and soft music is played to create a calm atmosphere as our residents settle in for a safe and comfortable night.

Become a Part of Our Story
